Back in the studio!
We’re back in the studio from 04 October recording a load of original material! We’re working with the lovely people at Soundworks Studios in Leeds which boasts a lovely baby grand piano for George to caress as well as a proper Hammond organ (will come in handy for a couple of the tracks).
This all means lots of rehearsals, finalising arrangements and tightening stuff up so we can make the best use of the studio time.
We’re looking to lay 6 tracks down and I’ll let you know when and how you can access the finished product!

This is one of George’s original tunes recorded on Sunday at our weekly resdience at the Phoenix. It’s a great swinging blues and it’s not error-free but, hey, it’s live!

I’ve had confirmation that ‘Signs Of Achievement’ (a track from our album ‘First Days’) is being added to the playlist for the internet radio station UK Jazz Radio. It will be played first on Michael Linney’s programme on Monday 23 August from 08:00 pm.
They have weekly listeners of 125,000 so it’s good exposure for us! If you’d like to tune in the link is below

Quartet playing benefit gig
The Quartet are part of the Jazz Revue for Gaza to raise funds for a medical charity to help the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The gig is on Monday 19 July at The Post Office Club, Marygate, York and doors open at 7:00pm.
The Revue features the great and the good of the York jazz scene.
Date for your diary
On 05 September afternoon the quartet is playing at Pave in Hull. It’s a really nice venue with a lovely vibe.
We’ll be performing from 2pm to 5pm with the usual blend of originals and classic tunes. It would be lovely to see you there!
Oh, and here’s a poster for your bedroom wall… go on, you know you want to!!
